What is the rate that a student progress through the PACE program?

The amount of progress a student makes with brain training depends on the individual's learning skills and abilities. Generally, a student with fewer deficient learning skills will progress faster than a student with many. Each procedure is graded according to difficulty and tasks become progressively more complex as the student progresses. The number of tasks completed during training differs from student to student. In other words, once the student passes a task, he or she is then allowed to progress to the next challenge. Brain training can be an effective way to enhance cognitive skills and improve learning.

My Child has normal intelligence. Can there still be a learning difficulty?

Brain training is an effective way to improve scores on tests of intelligence, including IQ tests. This is because brain training exercises focus on improving the skills that are assessed by IQ tests, such as memory, speed of processing, and problem-solving. Training these skills can help improve overall test performance and can lead to higher scores. Additionally, brain training can help with the skills needed for academic success, such as concentration, focus, and reading comprehension. So, even if someone has a “normal” IQ, they can still benefit from brain training.

Is Learning Difficulties Inherited?

Heredity can play a role in certain mental abilities, but it is minor compared to the amount that can be learned and improved. It is generally believed that between 40% and 70% of our mental abilities are learned, not inherited. Therefore, we can accomplish far more by starting to enhance the skills that are learned and can be changed.

Are The Results Long Lasting?

Brain training can be beneficial for everyone. It helps strengthen cognitive skills such as memory, problem solving, and focus. These skills are important for academic and career success and are used every day.

Research has shown that the skills developed through brain training are retained. In fact, a study showed that 98.7% of the one-year follow-up cognitive test scores were at least as high as they were at the completion of a particular brain training program, known as PACE. This shows that brain training can have a lasting impact on cognitive skills.
